Terms of Service | Manor
Effective 14 September 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Manor app and this website (together, “Manor”), operated by Rida Lamhadri. By using Manor, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Manor.
Eligibility
Manor is intended for adults aged 18 or older. Android testing is available through Google Play, and the iPhone beta is available through TestFlight.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Manor only for its intended purpose: tracking expenses in your personal and shared budgets. You agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe others’ rights while using Manor.
- Interfere with, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to Manor or its systems.
- Attempt to access data that is not yours, or abuse the public website forms.
- Reverse engineer or misuse the service except where the law expressly permits it.
Public feedback
You must own the content you submit or have permission to submit it. Do not submit content that is illegal, abusive, infringing, deceptive, violates another person's rights, or exposes private information without permission.
You allow us to review your feedback, edit it for privacy or readability without changing its meaning, publish it, merge it with a duplicate, reject it, or remove it. A submission does not promise a response, implementation, or release date.
Your account
Manor uses Google sign-in and, on supported iPhones, Sign in with Apple. Your provider supplies an account identifier and email address, and may supply your name. Better Auth, hosted in Convex, manages your Manor account and sessions.
If you choose Hide My Email with Apple, Manor receives an Apple relay address instead of your personal address. Use the address shown in your Manor account when contacting support about that account.
Use only an account you are authorized to control and protect your device and session.
Service availability
Manor is available in open testing on Android through Google Play and in beta on iPhone through TestFlight.
The service may be temporarily unavailable. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features.
Pricing
Manor offers a Free plan and a Premium plan. You can choose a monthly or yearly Premium subscription. The purchase screen shows the price for your country and currency. Payment is due when you confirm your purchase. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel with the provider.
Paddle is the merchant of record for website purchases. Apple is responsible for Apple in-app purchases and the related refund decisions. The provider’s displayed price, currency, applicable taxes, and renewal date govern before you confirm a purchase.
Website customers manage billing, cancellations, and payment methods from their Manor account. Apple customers manage their subscription with Apple. Cancellation stops a future renewal but does not automatically refund a completed charge.
Free includes 30 successful Manor requests per UTC calendar month, one owned budget, three custom categories, and two fixed expenses. Premium includes 300 successful requests per monthly paid allowance period, up to five owned budgets, 1,000 custom categories, and 1,000 fixed expenses. Category and fixed-expense limits apply across the budgets you own. An annual subscription also has monthly request periods. A request may create several expenses. Failed requests do not consume the allowance. Each person needs their own subscription. Sharing a budget does not give other members Premium. Premium lets owners manage sharing and use advanced history filters. Ending Premium keeps existing records, but creation and Premium tools may be limited.
Deleting Manor does not cancel an Apple subscription. Restore Purchases checks eligible Apple purchases for the signed-in Manor account. Ask Apple for refunds for Apple purchases and Paddle for website purchases.
Understanding and accuracy
Manor uses automated speech and language processing to turn what you say or type into expense entries. This is not perfect: Manor can occasionally misunderstand an expense. For example, the amount, category, or date. You are responsible for reviewing your entries and correcting anything that is wrong using the actions available for your budget permissions.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your journal and for keeping your own records where you need to. Manor is a personal note-taking aid, not a system of record for accounting, tax, or legal purposes.
No financial advice
Manor helps you record and review your spending. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and nothing in Manor should be treated as such. Decisions you make based on your Manor journal are your own.
Intellectual property
Manor, including its name, design, and software, is owned by Rida Lamhadri and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our branding or software beyond using the app and website as intended. The expense content you enter remains yours.
On iPhone, Apple’s standard license applies to the app.
Termination
You may stop using Manor at any time and delete your account and associated data as described on our Data deletion page. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the service.
Expenses you added to another person's shared budget can remain after you leave or delete your account. Manor shows "Former member" instead of your name. Notes, transcripts, and the former account identifier may remain in these expenses. The Privacy Policy and Data deletion page explain this retained data and deletion timing.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Manor is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of results. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Manor.
Privacy
These Terms do not limit rights the law gives you that cannot be waived, including your consumer rights.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and is part of your relationship with us.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Manor evolves. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Manor after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
