Data Deletion | Manor
Effective 14 September 2026
You can delete your Manor account and associated data inside the app, or submit a request here if you no longer have access to it.
Delete in the app
In Manor, open Settings and choose Delete account. Confirm deletion and, if needed, sign in again with the same provider.
Before deleting your account, transfer ownership or delete any budget you own that still has other active members. Expenses in another person's shared budget can remain after you leave or delete your account. Manor removes your membership's account link and shows "Former member" instead of your name. Retained expenses may still contain your former account identifier, notes, and transcripts. Account deletion removes your uploaded audio. Leaving a budget alone does not delete its records.
Retained notes and transcripts may still contain personal information you entered. The "Former member" label does not make this content anonymous. These expenses remain until they are removed through the shared budget's controls.
Manor removes your profile, sessions, personal budgets and their expenses, transcripts, categories, and fixed expenses, along with your voice files and unfinished captures on the server. It then clears that account's local data on this device. This page explains the exceptions for shared budgets, temporary deletion records, and service providers. PostHog erasure is requested separately. Website feedback needs a separate request to support@talktomanor.com.
During in-app account deletion, Manor attempts to revoke the linked Google or Apple authorization. If the provider cannot complete that step, further action may be needed. Deleting Manor data does not delete your Google or Apple account.
If you have a Paddle subscription, Manor asks Paddle to stop renewal before continuing deletion. If Manor cannot confirm that request, your account and data stay in place and you can retry. You do not need to cancel the subscription manually first.
If you have an Apple subscription, deleting Manor does not cancel it. Apple may continue charging you. Manage it with Apple before or after deletion. Manor keeps Delete account anyway available after the second warning.
An in-app deletion receipt remains for about 30 days. Separately, Manor keeps only the former pseudonymous billing identifier, provider subscription identifiers, and deletion date for 30 days to block late payment events. Manor removes these identifiers during daily cleanup after that period. They contain no email address, expenses, transcripts, or payment details.
Request deletion without the app
Start account deletion in Manor whenever possible. If you cannot access the app, contact support or use the public request form. A form submission starts a manual support request; it does not immediately delete an account. We verify the request and explain the next steps. Use the exact account email shown in Manor, including an Apple relay address if applicable. Replying from a different personal address does not by itself verify that account.
The receipt is the same whether or not an account exists.
Verification and timing
Rida Lamhadri handles requests manually and explains the necessary steps after verification. The public form does not automatically follow the in-app deletion procedure. We respond within 30 days of receiving your request. After verification, we complete the Manor account deletion described on this page within 30 days. If we need more time, we explain why and give you an updated timeframe. We confirm when the request is complete. Independent provider erasure remains subject to provider timelines and the exceptions below. No Turnstile token or IP address is stored with the request.
PostHog analytics erasure
Manor’s local, account, product, and authentication deletion does not wait indefinitely for PostHog availability. PostHog person and event erasure happens asynchronously. While it is pending, one limited temporary job may remain so Manor can complete the request with the provider.
This job contains only the former pseudonymous appUserId, normalized provider phase, necessary retry state and count, and timestamps. It retains no email, Google or provider identity, financial content, transcript, recording, raw PostHog response, or personal API key. Safe transient failures are retried up to three times. Failures that remain need manual recovery. The owner checks failed jobs twice per month.
For an existing profile, Manor removes the temporary job only after confirming event deletion and the absence of the PostHog profile. If the initial lookup finds no profile, Manor closes the request based on that lookup. Provider erasure is not immediate, and we do not promise a timing guarantee that PostHog does not provide. PostHog may independently retain some information for security, legal obligations, backups, or already de-identified aggregate purposes where it can no longer be connected to the account.
If you return with the same Google or Apple account, Manor creates a new empty account: deleted expenses, budgets, files, and other data do not reappear. Google, Apple, Convex, PostHog, or Cloudflare may retain some information under their own terms, security backups, or legal obligations.
